Native Integration
You already have the data. Patients, treatments, billing, collections — it's all inside Gesden. What you're missing is seeing it together, understanding what it means, and knowing what to do about it. Mola reads your Gesden installation, cross-references it with your financial metrics, and delivers a clear dashboard to make week-to-week decisions.
Gesden is one of the most widely used dental practice-management systems in Spain. Developed by Infomed Software, it's used daily in thousands of clinics to manage scheduling, clinical histories, treatments, and billing. If you've been in the sector for a while, you probably have years of data accumulated inside Gesden.
The problem is that Gesden is designed to operate the clinic, not to direct it. It helps you record what happens, but it doesn't tell you which treatments are most profitable, whether your acceptance rate is dropping, whether there are leaks in collections, or whether your real margin per chair-hour is rising or falling. That business reading is left out of the software — and in practice, out of the day-to-day of most owners too.
Mola covers exactly that layer. It doesn't replace Gesden. It reads the data you already have inside and turns it into management metrics: profitability, productivity, cash flow, patient retention. No double-entry. No spreadsheets. No need for a financial profile your clinic probably doesn't have on staff.
On top of what you already have
Five layers of analysis that Gesden, by design, doesn't cover — because that's not its job.
Margin by treatment type after materials, chair time, and indirect costs. Not the list price — the effective profitability.
Production per dentist and hygienist, staff cost as a share of revenue, and effective chair utilisation. To decide whether to expand, train, or redistribute.
Collection rate, average days to collect, and accounts receivable by ageing. To detect leaks before they become unpaid invoices.
Retention rate, average revenue per patient, and treatment cycle. Knowing who you're losing — and why — before it shows up in the cash register.
A single panel with clinical and financial connected. No more exporting to Excel every month to cross-reference numbers by hand.
The integration is one-way: Mola reads from Gesden; Gesden is not modified. Your team keeps working exactly the same as before.
We install a lightweight connector that periodically reads the relevant data from your Gesden installation and sends it encrypted to Mola's servers. Nothing to change in the Gesden application itself.
Mola processes the data, links it with your cost structure, and calculates business indicators. Each indicator is explained, compared with the previous period, and benchmarked against the target range for a clinic of your size.
Everything arrives in a web dashboard accessible from any device. Check KPIs whenever you want and receive alerts when something deviates — without having to remember to look.
A session with Dr. Jaime Fernández Mercadé — owner of Clínica Dental Palacio and a Gesden user — to look at your data with you, identify the two or three highest-leverage levers in your clinic, and map out the next step. So the dashboard starts being useful from day one, with no learning curve.
What data Mola uses
Only what's needed for business analytics. Never sensitive clinical data beyond what's strictly required for aggregated indicators.
Data is hosted in Switzerland, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) — recognised by the EU as an adequate framework. We are GDPR-compliant and sign a data processing agreement with every clinic.
Onboarding
We understand how your clinic is set up, which Gesden version you use, and what decisions you want to be able to make with your data.
We guide you remotely through installing the connector on the machine where Gesden lives. No IT background required — we do it together.
We load your historical data, calculate the first KPIs, and validate with you that the numbers match what you see in Gesden and your accounting.
We walk you through your dashboard, what to look at each week, what alerts to configure, and how to interpret the target ranges. From there, Mola runs on its own.
Frequently asked
Yes. Gesden stores a large amount of your clinic's data, but it isn't designed for cross-cutting management analysis. Mola connects to Gesden, reads that data (patients, scheduling, treatments, billing) and turns it into a dashboard with profitability, productivity and recommendations — without changing how you work in Gesden.
Gesden is very complete for running the clinic (scheduling, records, billing), but management financial analysis — real margin per treatment, staff cost as a share of revenue, productivity per chair against target ranges — isn't its focus. For that you add a layer like Mola, which cross-references Gesden data with your real costs.
No. Mola is complementary to Gesden, not a replacement. Your clinical team keeps working exactly as before. The integration is one-way: Mola reads, Gesden is not modified.
Mola works with modern Gesden versions. If you have a very old version, we discuss it on the discovery call and decide together whether updating is worth it or whether we adapt the connector. We never write you off for compatibility before trying.
Synchronisation is periodic. For weekly management indicators, a daily update is more than enough. If your case needs higher frequency, we adapt it.
Data is hosted on infrastructure in Switzerland, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), recognised by the European Union as an adequate framework. We are GDPR-compliant and sign a data processing agreement before connecting anything.
Mola is designed to be agnostic to the management software. If you migrate to another system, we reconfigure the connector and your history and dashboard remain yours. No lock-in to the dental provider.
Pricing is adjusted to your clinic's size (single-location, small group of 2-5 sites) and the integrations you need. I'd rather give it to you on a short call, with the numbers on the table, than post a rate that probably won't fit.
Common case. We cross-reference Gesden data with your accounting, payroll, payment gateways, and whatever else is needed. We discuss it on the call and figure out which specific integrations make sense for your case.
